2021 Fall Conference videoThe NCMGMA Fall Conference, scheduled for October 6-8 at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel, will provide a rich environment where North Carolina's medical practice leaders can come to learn, grow and share. We're back in-person this fall and we're at a new location for us: The Renaissance Asheville Hotel, right in downtown Asheville!

Hotel Accommodations

Renaissance Asheville HotelAll events for the Fall Conference are scheduled at the Renaissance Asheville Hotel, located at 31 Woodfin St., Asheville, NC 28801. We are pleased to offer our attendees the discounted group rate is $200 per night for a single/double room (plus taxes). Reservations must be made no later than September 15th for the discounted rate.

Reservations can be completed by using the reservation link below or by calling 828-252-8211 and referencing NCMGMA Fall Conference. Please make reservations early: if the room block sells out, we cannot guarantee the discounted rate. The hotel's self-parking fee is $20.00/night and $25.00/night for valet. Cancellations need to be completed no later than 3 days prior to the arrival date to avoid being charged 1-night room and tax.

NCMGMA Membership Types

  • Active Membership - An Active Member is currently employed in an executive, managerial or administrative capacity of a medical group engaged in the practice of medicine as a legal entity sharing business management facilities, records and personnel and/or services in an executive, managerial or administrative capacity of an integrated delivery organization that includes, as part of its primary mission, the provision of physician services and administration of physician practices type.
  • Affiliate Membership - An Affiliate Member is employed by an organization that provides products and/or services which enhance each Association member's ability to meet the health needs of their community, including, but not limited to business consultants, providers of products and services.
  • Student Membership - Student Membership is available to any person who is a full time or part-time student according to the guidelines of their college or university. Student Members shall not have the right to vote and shall not have the right to serve as officers or directors of the Association.

Continuing Education

The NCMGMA 2021 Fall Conference is worth up to 9.25 CEUs.

COVID-19 Protocols & Expectations

NCMGMA will require proof of vaccination OR a negative COVID test (taken within 48 hours from start of conference) for entrance into the 2021 Fall Conference for all attendees, guests, exhibitors, and staff. NCMGMA will also ask all registrants to complete a one-time health self-assessment. Additionally, masks will be required while indoors at all functions unless actively eating or drinking.

To maintain the confidentiality of these records, NCMGMA will provide a link to the CLEAR Health Pass, a third-party and secure system.

NCMGMA is committed to maintaining healthy communities, especially during this pandemic, and we believe these additional measures will help keep the spread of the virus to a minimum as we strive to return to more normal operations for our membership.

Joe Dillon leads Curi Capital’s Retirement Plan Solutions business, with a focus on retirement plan consulting, investment management, and financial wellness for the firm’s institutional clients. Curi Capital is the full-service financial advisory arm of Curi, a company committed to helping physicians in medicine, business, and life. Prior to joining Curi Capital, Joe was an Investment Strategist and Relationship Manager with CAPTRUST Financial Advisors, where he helped employers evaluate their retirement plan’s investments, service providers, and other products and services offered to them and their employees. Joe serves as a board member at Children’s Flight of Hope, a non-profit that provides air transportation for critically ill children.

Practice of the Year Award

First Citizens Bank LogoThe North Carolina Medical Group Management Association (NCMGMA) is proud to partner with First Citizens Bank to present the 8th Annual Practice of the Year Award, to be presented on the evening of Thursday, October 7th during the Fall Conference networking reception.

This award recognizes a medical group practice that has made a significant contribution to their community, patients and/or staff through volunteer work, indigent clinics, fundraisers, staff wellness programs, community clean-ups, community screenings and education (internal & external), etc.

Cancellation Policy

Registration cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellations received on or before September 30th (seven business days prior to the conference) are entitled to a full refund less a $50 processing fee. No refunds will be awarded for cancellations after September 30th or for no-shows.
